Moat Theatre for upcoming dark nights
As the dark evenings drop in an hour earlier, there's a lot going on to pass the evenings at the Moat Theatre, Naas.
On Thursday 3 November CallBack Theatre presents the award-winning 'Fred and Alice, Love in the time of OCD', written by John Sheehy and performed by Ciaran Bermingham and Cora Fenton. Described as a' blistering head wreck played at a hilarious pace', it was love at first sight for Alice. Fred didn’t talk to her again for years but then eventually Fred got used to her and it was love at first sight for him too. Starts 8pm; tickets €15/€12.
On Thursday 10 November the Dublin Gospel Choir will give a concert to feature the great songs from people like Whitney, Prince, Bowie, Joe Cocker and Maurice White, to name just a few. A night of music and celebration … and don’t forget your dancing shoes! Tickets €20/€18.
On Saturday 12 November it's the turn of Route 66 Big Band with their live concert. This is a North Kildare based 16-piece Big Band, which takes audiences on a magical musical tour from the 40’s right up to the present day. The Moat is another stop on their Theatre Tour which included visits to Draiocht in Blanchardstown, Civic in Tallaght, Solstice in Navan and the Mermaid in Bray among others. Tickets €20/€18, starts 8pm.
