Public meeting on Kilcullen place, street names
A reminder that there will be a public meeting next Tuesday 20 September to consider the issue of road and place names and signage in Kilcullen, writes Brian Byrne.
At the meeting, scheduled for 8pm in the Town Hall, a list of currently-used names will be discussed. The list will be compiled from local knowledge and also from official sources and from Google and sat-nav systems.
The meeting is being organised by Kilcullen Community Action and discussions will form the basis for a plan on providing coherent signage, which might take some years before implementation is complete.
The plan should also include information signs on buildings with a historical and heritage significance.
