Playground zip line removed for repair

The zip line in the Kilcullen Community Playground has been removed by Kildare County Council, and it will take months before it is replaced.

The most recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action also heard that the gates of the Playground must be left unlocked for the time being while the Council carries out other repairs on the facility.

A rota of KCA volunteers look after the locking/unlocking, and general maintenance of the Playground on behalf of the Council.

It was noted at the meeting that there has been a ’noticeable increase’ in littering at the Playground since the gates have been left unlocked.
