Pieta House barbecue tonight

For those of us who, like the Diary, didn’t make the early morning Dawn Walk today, there’s another chance to be involved in the Pieta House fundraiser organised by Lorna Brophy and Richie Kelly.

"It was a lovely walk through New Abbey Stud," Lorna told the Diary. "Miah Phelan sang in the stud and Noel Claire read a poem … about 280 took part and we are delighted."

The second stage of what might be a long day is in O’Connells Bar tonight, the music and a barbecue, which will begin at 8pm. Admission is €10 (those who paid for the Walk are already paid for the evening event).

There will be a raffle too. See you there.
