Kildare Animal Foundation Open Day
The Kildare Animal Foundation’s main annual fundraising event, its Open Day, takes place next Sunday.
It’s a great day out with something for every member of the family — including face painting, bottle stall, cake stall, plants, antiques & collectables, kiddies games, refreshments, crafts, monster raffle and much more.
See the animals in the Foundation’s care and the work that goes on there. Free admission. The event begins at 1pm. The location is on Southgreen Road.
Founded in 1994 by on the outskirts of Kildare town by Geraldine O’Hanlon and a group of very dedicated volunteers, the Kildare Animal Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to the welfare of cats, dogs and small animals.
The Foundation today cares for almost 100 animals, providing sanctuary to injured, sick and abused animals.
The shelter is open daily from 2 to 4pm and offers an adoption service for cats and dogs that are ready for rehoming.
