Getting busy for cycling road races
Well, it’s all getting very busy up at the Kilcullen Business Park now as registrations for this evening’s Time Trials in the National Road Racing Championships are under way, writes Brian Byrne.
Organised by the Orwell Wheelers, with the help of the Murphy Surveys Kilcullen Cycling Club, local cycling guru Liam Walker is here, there and everywhere as the details are finalised.
Early to the place was Nicholas Roche of the Sky Team, who arrived this morning to ride the course in advance.
And kudos too to Kildare County Council, and whoever persuaded them to fix a pothole at Thompson’s Cross which has been causing serious annoyance for some weeks now to regular users of the intersection …
