Reprise of Acoustic Picnic
It was a great success last year, so why not do an 'Acoustic Picnic' show again? writes Brian Byrne.
No reason against it at all, so the fundraiser for the Maintain Hope Kenya charity is getting a reprise this Bloomsday, 16 June.
Last year's event was organised by Roy Thompson and friends, and while initially it had been a general initiative for the charity, on the week before it happened it became very specific for a little baby called Hope, who had been left at the Maintain Hope orphanage.
No details yet, but if last year is anything to go by, it promises to be a really class night of acoustic music and songs ranging all the way from American roots to Irish trad.
We'll keep you posted.
