Fallons one of Kildare three in pub guide

Fallons of Kilcullen is one of just three County Kildare pubs listed in the 2016 Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide, writes Brian Byrne.

The others are the Ballymore Inn and Harte’s of Kildare, this last a new listing.

The Guide lists 590 pubs in Britain and Ireland, 25 of which are in the Republic. Only Clare beat Kildare, with four listings, while only two are listed each in Dublin, Galway and Mayo.

According to the Guide’s editor Rebecca Burr, each premises was anonymously judged by the Michelin Guide team of full-time inspectors.
