Seeking St Patrick
As March pulls closer, and within it the feast day of Ireland's national saint, it's worth a thought that there's no statue of St Patrick in Kilcullen Parish Church, writes Brian Byrne.
With that in mind, Fr Martin Harte is anxious to source one, new or refurbished. It may be that one can be migrated from a previous home, or from storage after renovations made the saint surplus to a local requirement.
Whatever, the search is on. And it's maybe worth highlighting amongst the readership of the Diary, in case one of said readers is aware of an available statue.
A suitable one would be 2'-3' tall, preferably not needing more than perhaps a clean-up. Contact the Parish Office if you have an idea.
