Public Tidy Towns meeting

KCA is holding a special meeting to kickstart this year’s Tidy Towns effort in Kilcullen, writes Noel Clare.

Tidy Towns is now about much more than tidiness and making the place look good. It is really an environmental project and can involve looking at every aspect of the local environment — the built environment, energy use and conservation, recycling and waste management, wildlife and biodiversity, landscaping and habitats.

We are interested in becoming more involved in as many of these areas as possible but can only do so if more people get involved.

With this in mind we are having an information meeting in the Town Hall on Monday 1 February at 8 pm. All welcome.
