Strong response to SVP needs

The recent church collection for St Vincent de Paul in Kilcullen came to €2,965.

This is €600 more than last year. A member of the local conference told the Diary recently that while the economy has been improving this year, there are still people who need help to have enough to eat, to keep warm and to provide shelter for themselves and their families.

"We also acknowledge the generosity of the people who have supported us down through the years," he said. "Their kindness makes the work of the Vincents possible."
