Shabby Chic collection for homeless
The collection for the Don Bosco organisation for the homeless, being organised by J&A Shabby Chic on Hillcrest, is still short of some items for the initiative, writes Brian Byrne.
For ladies they can do with shower gels, deodorants, socks, scarves, hats, facecloths, brushes and combs, wipes and toothpaste and toothbrushes.
For men they need socks, hats, gloves, and disposable razors.
Food vouchers will also be very useful. Please drop off anything you can donate in the store before Friday 18 December.
In the last week in November there were 705 families in emergency accommodation in Dublin, twice as many as a year before, including more than 1,400 children.
