Kilcullen at the Santa Dash on The Curragh
Pictured at the Gift of Life Santa Dash at The Curragh Racecourse last Sunday to support the Irish Kidney Association and its work in promoting organ donation were Emma Nolan and Paul Dunne, from Nolan's Butchers in Kilcullen.
Emma's husband James Nolan is a kidney transplant recipient.
More than a hundred people took part dressed in Santa costumes to support the event. The family fun run which aims to promote organ donation was organised by Irish Fit with the Irish Kidney Association (IKA) as the nominated charity partner. People of all ages including some transplant recipients walked, jogged or ran either a 5km or 10km distance and were presented with a festive themed medal for their support.

It is also possible to download an organ donor card on smartphones by searching for ‘Donor ECard’ at the iphone store or Google Play Store. Your wishes to be an organ donor can also be included on the new format driving licence which is represented by Code 115.
