'Miscellany on Sunday' returns next Sunday
The event that properly starts Christmas locally, the Miscellany on Sunday hosted at the Bermingham family home in Mooretown, is all set for next Sunday 13 December.
The afternoon of music, theatre, food and mulled wine, and a rolling attendance of good company is again this year in aid of the mission work of Fr John Bermingham in Mozambique.
Among the vast array of local talent are Roy Thompson, the Barbershop Quartet, Ludaigh Moran, Billy Redmond, Majella Hickey, Deirdre Spillane, the Nugent family, John Martin and many, many more.
As always, there's no charge, but a donation box in the hallway is the fundraising point.
It all lights up at 2pm, and everybody is welcome.
