Poaching at Carnalway 'won't be tolerated'
Reports of poachers at Carnalway have been passed on to the Inland Fisheries by the Kilcullen Trout & Salmon Anglers Association, writes Brian Byrne.
The area is being added to regular patrols, and the registration numbers of cars parked in the area while suspected poaching is going on will be passed to the Garda.
The Association says such activity 'will not be tolerated', and warns also that people fishing illegally in the closed season are also trespassing on farm and stud lands.
Members of the public are asked to help by phoning in if they see anyone fishing. The season is closed until 1 March 2016.
