Christmas lights meeting tonight
A reminder that there's a meeting tonight for anyone interested with ideas to improve the town's Christmas lights, writes Ray Kelly.
It's taking place upstairs in O'Connell's Bar from 8.30pm. If you think you can help, with ideas and putting the whole thing together, please come along. If you have a flair for design come along. If you have ideas for the switch on please come along.
Coming along will not mean you’ll be forced to join a committee of any kind — getting ideas and assistance is most important here, so come along and throw your thoughts into the pot.
Up to now a small group of KCA volunteers and associates have lit up the town for the past 15 years.
Some ideas already under consideration include updating existing lighting with extra locations, lighting up the bridge to create a main focal point, have a bigger and better switch-on event, and an expanded tree decoration.
Remember you can make a small but significant contribution to Kilcullen Christmas atmosphere.
Pictured above are some ideas suggested by a lighting expert who walked the town with KCA members.
