Mac and Norman 2015 cheque presented
A cheque for €24,310 was presented to the Irish Cancer Society in The Priory, Kilgowan, last night, the money raised this year by the Mac & Norman Vintage Drive, writes Brian Byrne.
"It was a little up on last year, which is great," says main organiser Ann Sully, who presented the cheque to ICS representative Kevin Delaney.
It was the 13th year of the Drive, which has raised almost €383,000 since the event was established.
Even through the recession, the support for the Drive didn't flag, despite the fact that the number of similar vintage tractor and other old vehicles drive events has mushroomed across the country since it was started.
