The 13th Mac & Norman rally next Sunday

The first of the regular August highlight events rolls through Kilcullen next Sunday with the 2015 Mac and Norman Vintage Rally, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society, writes Brian Byrne.

The Rally has raised €358,495 for that cause over the last 12 years, according to key organiser Ann Sully, who expresses her appreciation for the continued support and generosity of everybody concerned.

This year it has an extended route and a new finishing point at The Priory in Kilgowan. The drive-off is as usual at 1pm from Peter Sully's yard in Brannockstown, and when the cavalcade reaches Kilgowan the participants will have a musical reception courtesy of the Athy Pipe Band.

Philip English entertains from 3-5pm, and will be followed by the charity auction expected to end around 6.30pm.

The entertainment will continue to closing, first with Tommy B and then Sister Act.

If anyone would like to make donation towards auction or sponsor card please contact Ann Sully on 087 9810555, John 086 8622690, Norman 086 2580074 or Dermot 086 6059898.
