NI youth leaders in Kilcullen
Ten youth leaders from Northern Ireland are in Kilcullen on an exchange visit organised through the Erasmus+ Programme, writes Brian Byrne.
Led by Richard O'Neill, Senior Youth Worker with the Education Authority Western Region based in Strabane, and Area Youth Worker Orlaith McGinn, the group are guests of Kilcullen Youth Club's KiYC2 section.
They are spending the week participating in a number of workshop sessions with KiYC2 leaders, which have included wound management in a sports setting, general first aid, relationships leadership, and looking at the Halo Project on adolescent substance abuse issues based in Naas.
The group are staying in the Curragh Plains B&B, and a number of social events have been organised for the evenings.
The KiYC2 leaders will make a return visit to Strabane next month.
