Don't leave stuff in your car

The Diary has received reports of valuables being stolen from cars in Cnoc na Greine and the Castlemartin area.

This type of theft has also been reported in recent weeks from cars parked on the Curragh by people out for a walk.

Bottom line, the Garda advice is always never to leave valuables in your car, even on your own property. Even coats and jackets thrown on the back seat can encourage these opportunistic thieves, in the hope that there might be something in the pockets.
