Adeline recalls fairy tales in sculpture
After more than two years living on the other side of the world, in New Zealand and Australia, Adeline Poufong is home in Ireland and back to making art again, writes Brian Byrne.
Last night her exhibition of winsome and quirky sculptural work based on fairy tales, 'Once Upon a Time', was opened in Naas Library by Eddie O'Neill, her former woodwork teacher in CPC.
She's pictured above with Eddie (right) and another former teacher who influenced her artistic bent, Noel Scullion.
And below are some examples of her latest work. Do they bring back childhood memories? If you're in Naas, take the time to stop by the Library for a while. The exhibition runs until 3 July.
We'll have a more in-depth interview with Adeline in next week's Kildare Nationalist.
