The passing of Sr Gemma Shelly
The Diary has learned of the death of Sr Gemma Shelly, of the Cross & Passion order, who worked in CPC Kilcullen from 1990 until the order left the College in 1999.
Sr Gemma would have been very well known in the town of Kilcullen itself, as she was a strong advocate of praying the Rosary and visited many parishioners to so do.
Her remains will be reposing at the C&P sisters' mother home in Griffith Avenue in Dublin this evening, and tomorrow morning she will be taken to the St Vincent de Paul Church in Marino for a funeral mass at 11.30.
May she rest in peace.
