Spout darts lads celebrate

We reported last week on the winning of the Div 3a Kildare Districts Darts League by The Spout Darts Team, and their presentation of their trophy at an event in Swifts, writes Brian Byrne.

Well, we caught up with (some of) them at the weekend in their home hostelry, celebrating their win locally.

The team was led by Joe Mallon, and comprised Kevin Brennan, Mark Farrell, Martin Russell, Jimmy O'Connor, Podge Byrne, Damien Dunne, Ger Shanaghan, Derek Courtney and Terry Meaney.

Pictured are Jimmy O'Connor, Gerry Shanaghan, Terry Meaney, Joe Mallon, Mark Farrell, and Eoin Farrell (who stood in as a sub to hold one of the medals). The others on the team, for various good reasons, weren't able to make it on the night.
