Very successful CG Project event

Kilcullen Community Games held their Project event last week in Scoil Bhríde, writes Papillion Rabitte. This was the second year of this competition and it proved to be a very successful night with over 40 projects submitted and a total of 80 children participating.

The competition was a team event, each group had to research a given topic and put together a presentation using posters, display books, photographs etc.

The impressive displays highlighted the hard work and time that went into each project. The judges complimented the children on their commitment and enthusiasm as well as their knowledge of the topics.

The Community Games committee would like to thank Anne Flanagan and all the teachers in Scoil Bhríde who coordinated the projects. We would also like to extend our thanks to Yvonne Tyrrell and Ger Doyle who did an excellent job judging the competition.

The project results are as follows:

'The History of the Community Games'
First Place: Maisie Biddulph, Rebecca Chen, Scott Fleming & Joe Browne.
Second Place: Alison Grimes, Emma Doherty & Caoimhe Stopes.
Third Place: Sally Murphy, Ruth Birchall, Eabha Devenney, Leah Cahill.

'When My Grandparents were Young'
First Place: Jordan Olivier & Chantelle Olivier.

'Ireland's Most Famous Person'
First Place: Amy O'Driscoll, Aideen Farrell & Ava Noone.
Second Place: Tom Healy & Isobel Walsh.
Third Place: Ellen Coleman & Ellie Bermudez.
