Buddy Mondlock and Mike Lindauer, plus Dan Walsh in the BAG

I've been a fan of Buddy Mondlock's since I first heard him sing in The Ballymore Inn many years ago, and many times after that, writes Roy Thompson of the Ballymore Acoustic Gigs. And it's partly because of Buddy that I re-started these gigs back in 2011, when he contacted me about coming back for the first time since our friend Larry's death the previous year.

So, we have history, Buddy and me. Many of you do, too — for he has so many friends in these parts.

Anyway, we'll all have an opportunity to renew our friendships on Monday when Buddy returns with his lifelong pal, and music partner, Mike Lindauer, who backs Buddy on fretless bass, and beautiful harmony vocals.

And, what's more — we've a further treat for you: Dan Walsh will also share the bill with Buddy and Mike. Dan is from Staffordshire on the UK, and played BAG for the first time last year. He's a fine young singer/songwriter and guitar player, but his gift is for the 5 string banjo, and this boy can play — trust me!

Doors open at 8:30pm, and the gig will kick off at 9:15pm sharp. Both acts will play full sets. Admission is €15 at the door — a modest increase on the normal price as this is a Double Bill show — only fair, you'll agree.
