Diary breaks 50,000
Just after midday yesterday, the Diary passed the significant milestone of 50,000 page views for a month, of July, writes Brian Byrne.
Indeed, July closed out at just over 51,000 page views, an extraordinary performance for a hyperlocal news website in a town of our size. Readers who visit the site are likely to have a connection with Kilcullen, as its content is of no interest to anyone outside. The blog was established in January 2005, and a majority proportion of readers are repeat visitors.
Around 10 percent of our readership is from Kilcullen people living overseas, currently including the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, Norway, France, and Australia as well as a number of other countries.
Some two-thirds of our readers still view A Kilcullen Diary on their computers, with two in ten using mobile phones, and one in ten using iPads.
Thanks to all of you, readers, contributors, and advertisers, for your support of the project.
