Text Alert: Prowlers in Old Kilcullen

Prowlers were noticed in the early hours of the morning at a house in Old Kilcullen, writes Brian Byrne.

The incident was at a private house near Brennans Bar, and began when when a car entered the driveway of the house, then reversed out at around 1am.

According to the Kilcullen Community Text Alert Scheme, people with flashlights were noticed in the garden of the house some ten minutes later. They left without any further action.

The Text Alert Scheme reminds people to be vigilant, and especially to watch out for their neighbours. Any suspicious behaviour should be notified to An Garda and an Alert will then be transmitted to participants in the system.

As earlier reported, there was also a break-in to a house in the Ballysax area.
