Midsummer fun at The Stray Inn

Though the Diary couldn't stay for the duration of the event, there was enthusiastic support for last evening's Barbecue in The Stray Inn, writes Brian Byrne.

On the programme was a Barrel Race, Karaoke, food that included pig on a spit and burgers, and all round great craic.



Ger Markey told us that the event — in aid of Gormanstown Church funds — is one of a series of local Milemill/Brannockstown initiatives running through the summer for community and charity support. Watch out for a Family Treasure Hunt and a 10K Road Race among them.
