Beer cans and bottle tops, things of the night ...

Albert Keenan, Tommy Dillon and Jim Collins continuing the work on clearing the upper slopes of the Valley of scrub vegetation and bushes this morning, writes Brian Byrne. Also, they have taken out hundreds of empty beer cans in the course of the work.

"It's getting much more clear now, opening up views," says Jim, who organised the effort in line with suggestions in a Biodiversity Study published last year under commission from Kilcullen Community Action. "And people won't be so afraid to walk down the top path now."
