Sunrise through the spear

The sunrise coming through the Dun Ailinne Interpretive Park spear sculpture this morning. It happens like this twice a year, at the Equinoxes. The sculpture was created by local artist Noel Scullion, on commission from KCA which developed and maintains the park.

If you missed it this morning, there will be sausages and brown bread for those who gather at around 6.25 tomorrow morning, weather permitting.  Pic Brian Byrne.
