Boys raise funds for cancer research

Two Fifth Class pupils at Scoil Bhride have raised more than €650 towards research for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, by having their hair dyed green, writes Brian Byrne.
Shane Penrose and his pal Jack Broe, both aged 11, came up with the idea and did their fundraising through the Irish Cancer Society's Shave or Dye initiative.
"I was diagnosed with the illness two and a half years ago," says Shane's mother Noreen. "I'm so proud of them."
Emily in The Hair Emporium looked after the two boys in doing their hair.
