Kilcullen memories in Glasgow

First of all, congratulations to Kilcullen Scouts for what seems to have been another very successful St Patrick's Day Parade, writes Brian Byrne.

As I wrote earlier, the Diary was unable to attend and your editor was in Glasgow for the weekend on a travel work trip. A very long time since I was in that city, and it has become a very popular weekend destination for tourists from all over these islands.

While there, I took the opportunity to meet up with some old friends, Eddie and Esther Connolly (above) who lived in Kilcullen through the 1970s. Some of you might remember them — Eddie was a printer with the Leinster Leader, and Esther was very involved in the Girl Guides of the time in Kilcullen.

Maybe some of you former Girl Guides might have a picture or two to bring back a few memories?
