Community Games Art & Handwriting results
Kilcullen Community Games recently held their annual Art competition in Scoil Bhride, writes Papillon Rabbitte of the KCG Committee. The event was very successful with a great turnout on the night.
Congratulations and thanks to all the creative children who took part. The winners will now represent Kilcullen in the County competition in Newbridge on Sunday 2nd March.
The art competition was judged by local artist Noel Scullion who presented the Brenda Scullion Memorial Trophy to Leon Cullen, winner of the Boys U14 category. Many thanks to Noel for his contribution to the competition and for taking on the difficult task of judging the artwork.
We would also like to thank Ms Anne Flanagan for the use of the school facilities and for supporting the Community Games.
The winners are: Girls U8 — 1st Ella Cullen, 2nd Grace O'Donnell, 3rd Katie O'Donnell. Boys U8 — 1st Tom Aspell, 2nd Alex Brady, 3rd Jack Ryan. Girls U10 — 1st Ava Noone, 2nd Orla Lally, 3rd Alisha Powell. Boys U10 — 1st Ruari Morgan, 2nd Dermot Coleman, 3rd Jack Gibson. Girls U12 — 1st Esther Petit-Frere, 2nd Ali Grimes, 3rd Ellen Coleman. Boys U12 — 1st Seamus Gervin, 2nd Jack Redmond, 3rd Dean Powell. Girls U14 — 1st Sydney Sheridan, 2nd Abigail O'Leary, 3rd Fiona Equare. Boys U14 — 1st Leon Cullen, 2nd David Browne.
Community Games also held a Handwriting competition on the night and would like to thank Ms Edel Kearney who judged this competition.
Winners in the U10 Girls Handwriting — 1st Hannah Crowley, 2nd Kate Donlan, 3rd Kate Ryan. Winners in the U10 Boys Handwriting — 1st Suvanji Veeramuth, 2nd Richard Bvede.
