Warning about car break-ins

Kilcullen motorists are being warned to make sure they leave nothing of value in their cars when parked, writes Brian Byrne.

This follows thefts from a number of cars near the Community Centre last week while the owners were busy with various activities in the evening.

The local Garda say nothing should be left visible in a parked car that would attract an opportunistic thief. Even coats left on a seat can result in a break-in with consequent damage that might cost even more than the loss of property.
