The world's first satellite made of wood has been sent into space. LignoSat was designed by Japanese researchers and will be released into orbit from the International Space Station for a six-month study into how wood handles the extremes of the space environment.

CPC to be All Shook Up

The CPC Transition Year musical for 2014 is 'All Shook Up'.

It will run for three nights in the Assembly Hall, February 11-13.

Each performance starts at 8pm.
