Scoil Bhride aims high in sports

Scoil Bhride is making a determined effort to win the overall award in the Cumann na mBunscol competition this year, having taken the Large School of the Year category last month.

The organisation coordinates Gaelic games, athletics, hurling, camogie and basketball for primary schools in Kildare, and Scoil Bhride won its category achievement for success in Gaelic with the U/11 Girls, in athletics, in track and field and cross-country events, and in basketball.

The U/13 competitions for both Girls and Boys are imminent, and will be critical to achieving the overall award.
