National award for Scouts

Kilcullen's 9th Kildare Scout Troop members were given a special national youth award from Scouting Ireland at the recent Kilcullen Scouts Senior Citizens Christmas Party, for their organisation of that party over 25 years.

The award was presented by Cathal Healy from SI's National Management Committee, representing Chief Scout Michael John Shimmnick.

The Troop helps with fundraising for the Seniors party, collect spot prizes, and show up each year at the event to make sure their guests have a good time.

The Kilcullen Scouts also have a regular spot on the TV programme 'iWitness'.
