Christmas tree switch-on next Sunday

The switch-on of the Kilcullen Community Action Christmas tree lights will take place at 6pm on Sunday, writes Brian Byrne.

This year the tree returns to Market Square and will be located in the flower feature in the middle of the square.

Santa will attend the event, and all children in the locality are welcome to bring their parents along.

Meanwhile, a meeting of KCA last night heard that the street Christmas lighting is now in place and ready for testing later this week. It includes new lights along the bridge which will use substantially less power than the previous systems.
