Bridge painting depicts Kilcullen in 1946
A copy of a painting by English impressionist painter Claude Bendall of Kilcullen bridge has been presented to Kilcullen Heritage Centre, writes Brian Byrne.
The picture was presented by local solicitor Pat Reidy, who has the original of the piece, painted in 1946. Pat is pictured above with Nessa Dunlea of the Heritage Centre.
The fascinating full story of the painting and its creator will be published in next week's 'Kildare Nationalist'.
