Earlier time for Writers Open Mic Night

The starting time of next Friday night's Writers Open Mic in Kilcullen Library has been brought forward to 6.30pm, writes Brian Byrne.
The event is the Library's contribution to National Culture Night, and will feature a variety of local writers reading from their own works.
Featured authors include Sophie Rose Williamson, John Martin, Emmett O'Sullivan, Mary Barber, Emer Byrden, Annmarie Myles, Pauline Fagan, Frank Morrow, Ilona Blunden, Paula Kavanagh, and Bernadette Melia.
Last year's inaugural event generated a lot of positive feedback, and it's expected that the 2013 audience will be even bigger. Refreshments will be served.
This is a free event, and the ambience of the Library is ideal for what should be a really entertaining occasion.
