Workshop on dealing with dementia

Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer'sA free educational workshop for those caring for a loved one with Alzheimer's and other dementias is being held in Kilcullen next month, writes Brian Byrne.

The workshop is organised by Home Instead Senior Care and will take place at the company's Main Street premises on Wednesday September 18, from 7pm-9pm.

The event will cover understanding behavioural changes, how to engage with the patient, and looking after oneself while caring for a dementia sufferer.
