Biodiversity Study for August launch
Evening for those interested in Kilcullen's environmentThe KCA-commissioned Biodiversity Study of the publicly accessible areas around the town's Liffey section will be officially launched on Friday, August 23, writes Brian Byrne.
The Study was carried out by Dr Mary Tubridy over the last year, and her report will provide recommendations on how the riverside amenities can be maintained.
The event will be held in the Heritage Centre, following a walk beginning at 7.30 on the evening. A Photographic Exhibition related to the Liffey will also be there.
A number of 'Wild Weekends' last summer kicked off the Study, and were a highly successful way of raising awareness of just what's to see in the area. The events then included a Bat Walk and a Butterfly experience.
The Study was produced with the help of the County Kildare Leader Partnership.
