Big Ballitore weekend coming up

A weekend of funThe Jimmy Byrne Annual Vintage Festival will take place in Ballitore on the weekend 12-14 July.

On the Friday evening, the 5K Road Race and Walk will take place at 8pm and 8.30pm respectively, with the Run registration from 6.30pm. Adult fee is €15 and U/16 €7.50. The Walk fee is €5 and there's a special €10 rate for a family of five.

The big event on the Saturday is the Beer Keg and the Duck Race. The Keg Race from Crookstown Hall to Ballitore starts at 8.15pm and will have a live video feed for viewers. The Duck Race on the River Greese starts at 9pm.

The Sunday Vehicle Run leaves the square at 2pm, with registration from 12pm and a fee of €20. There will also be a Family Fun Day, Barbecue, and Antique Bikes Show among a variety of other events.

There will be music and dancing in the square eache evening.
