Meeting for Camino fundraising walk

A meeting will be held in Fallons on Thursday night to try and raise interest in a September fundraising walk to Santiago de Compostela, in aid of singer Frances Black's RISE Foundation. Frances Black will be there herself to talk about the Foundation.

It is being organised by Philomena Breslin, and the evening will provide details of the work of the Foundation, set up to help families of those with addictions.

The trip involves six days walking 15-25km per day to complete the last 100km of the famous Camino's 'French Way'.

The cost of the all-in trip is €1,900 per person, of which €1,000 will go directly to the RISE Foundation.

Thursday's meeting gets under way at 8pm. All welcome.
