Good turnout for Make A Wish night

Some 27 local women will be competing in the Flora Womens Mini Marathon this year in aid of the Make A Wish Foundation.

They're all associated with the Toddlers & Wobblers Creche, which has raised over €6,000 for the Foundation in the event over the last five years.

And on Friday night they ran another fundraiser for the Foundation, an entertainment night in Joeys Hideout.

More than 40 businesses and individuals supported the evening with prizes and other help, including Hideout proprietor Joe Fraser who supplied the food and entertainment for the night.
