New record for Parish Feis

The Parish Feis last weekend raised a record €6,070 for Parish Funds, writes Brian Byrne.

The Feis has been run by the Landers family for some four and a half decades, starting in the marquee of the old Kilcullen Carnival. The sum raised last year was €5,200, a new record at the time which has now been surpassed.

There were over 400 entries for last Sunday's event, which went on late into the evening. Pictured above are Roisin Hall, Hazel Mitchell, Carla Ennis, Rita Ennis and Kate Timmons, all from Kilcullen.
