The Passing of Pat 'Purty' Lawlor

The Diary has learned of the death of Patrick 'Purty' Lawlor, Ballyknockan, Valleymount, Co Wicklow and until recently a longtime resident in Lower Main Street, Kilcullen.

Pat is reposing at Clarke's Funeral Home, Lower Main Street, Blessington, from 11am on Tuesday. Removal will take place Tuesday evening, arriving at St Joseph's Church, Valleymount, via Lacken, at 8pm.

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 11, and will be followed by burial in Baltyboys Cemetery.

The Diary extends condolences to his family, and his passing will also be felt in the 'older' Kilcullen, where he was a contemporary character for decades.
