Susie is a Little Cracker

Nine-year-old Susie Power from Calverstown will feature in Sky 1's 'Little Crackers' series on 18 December, playing the little sister of Meath-born comedienne Sharon Horgan, writes Brian Byrne.

Susie is a student at the Talented Kids Performing Arts School based in Calverstown, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary with a show in Dublin's Gaiety Theatre. Susie (pictured above in the Gaiety show) has been appearing in shows and on TV since she was nine months old. In 2008 she played the part of Eleanor, daughter of characters Heather and Dr Brendan Daly. At the age of six she won five gold medals in the World Championships of Performing Arts, held in Hollywood, California. Earlier this year she was on the 'Show Off or Get Off' of the RTE young people's program elev8.

The 'Little Crackers' series is now in its third season and consists of a series of short films with British comedy stars, such as Stephen Fry, Catherine Tate, Chris O'Dowd, Kathy Burke, Victoria Wood and Bill Bailey.

The films are stories written by the stars, telling about episodes in their childhood. They last between 10-12 minutes each.
