Repeat of 'Music & Musings' planned

A night of music and musings in St Mary's Church, Castlemartin, in December will raise funds for the Maintain Hope charity which brings direct aid to children in Kenya, writes Brian Byrne.

Details of the event, the second of its kind and which will take place this year on 19 December, have yet to be finalised, but it will involve local musicians and writers.

Pictured are views from last year's night, which included The Legato Singers, directed by Phionagh Gibson who has many CPC musical productions under her belt; Dorly and Rachel O'Sullivan, with Gese Mucke; Danny Carthy of Fiddlers Green; and Soprano Orla Colleton, a former pupil of CPC and now a professional singer and singing teacher

Between the songs there were stories from Charlie Talbot, Mae Leonard, and John Martin, who also did MC.

Co-founder of Maintain Hope, Gerry O'Donoghue, said tickets for the event would make a nice pre-Christmas present for friends and loved ones.
