Two-day closure of playground

Kilcullen Community Playground will be closed today (Tuesday) and tomorrow while essential maintenance is carried out on the zipline area, writes Brian Byrne.

Work to be done on the rubberised ground areas will be carried out when weather permits, the latest meeting of Kilcullen Community Action was told.

And efforts are to be made to source a metal picnic table to replace the timber one which has been destroyed by vandals.

JJ Warren told the meeting that the original table was beyond repair. "It was methodically taken apart in a way that it could not be fixed," he said. "They knew exactly what they were doing."
